About the role:
Electro-mechanical individuals are analytical thinkers with great logical thinking skills and high technical and spatial reasoning skills. Electro-Mechanical positions require a desire to work in the complex and custom application assembling of large power transformers and mobile substations. The work is performed in the production facility located in Jordan, MN - just south of the Twin CIties on Hwy 169. This is a full time, permanent position.
Qualifications
- Associates degree
- Hands on experience with reading mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, or AC/DC electrical wiring prints
- Problem identification, troubleshooting, and problem solving of electro-mechanical parts
- Familiarity with electrical-mechanical systems
Primary duties
- Read mechanical drawings, electrical schematics prints and assembly instructions.
- Inspect components for defects and record findings using non-conforming material processes.
- The ideal candidate will use their knowledge of AC/DC electricity, mechanical fundamentals, and process controls to identify failure modes.
- Determine problem solutions with the disassembly and reassembly of large power transformers.
- The right candidate will appreciate the need for Quality and Safety while working in a complex, fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.
- Gather data from failed products to support engineering redesign
- Assemble transformers from mechanical assembly instructions and electrical schematics.
- Test complex electromechanical transformer assemblies and final mobile substations.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment alongside engineers.
- Estimate effort to complete projects

Pay: From $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
