Description

We are currently looking for a Procurement Specialist to support the Supply Chain function. This position plays a key role in sourcing, negotiating, purchasing, and overseeing the delivery of raw materials, supplies, and services, ensuring that the company operates efficiently and cost-effectively. The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation skills, knowledge of procurement best practices, and the ability to build relationships with vendors and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for all deliverables of the work produced to complete contract terms and conditions which may include a procurement schedule, budget, document controls, reporting, and prime contract flow downs.
- Identify problems and coordinate with the supply team to correct.
- Proactively manage change.
- Assume responsibility for cost, schedule, quantity, reporting, and budget control of raw materials procurement.
- Review work with management.
- Prepare and process purchase orders (POs) accurately and promptly.
- Track orders and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Provide timely information to the Supply team, of any supplier or procurement activity that impacts t tolling manufacturing plants either realizing opportunity or indicating a potential risk.
- Develop, build, and maintain relationships with major suppliers to provide maximum utilization of their expertise, ideas, methods, market intelligence, best practices, and material application to achieve the best value.
- Identify, resolve, or mitigate performance issues relating to supplier performance while ensuring a positive working relationship with key or top suppliers.
- Must be capable of managing a diverse workload and multiple tasks with accuracy under minimal supervision.
- Collaborate with inventory and warehouse teams to monitor stock levels and avoid overstocking or stockouts.
- Ensure accurate tracking and timely replenishment of inventory.
- Assists Accounts Payable with invoice issues; assists other support departments, as necessary.
- Other duties as required.
