Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for all deliverables of the work produced to complete contract terms and conditions which may include a procurement schedule, budget, document controls, reporting, and prime contract flow downs.
- Identify problems and coordinate with the supply team to correct.
- Proactively manage change.
- Assume responsibility for cost, schedule, quantity, reporting, and budget control of raw materials procurement.
- Review work with management.
- Prepare and process purchase orders (POs) accurately and promptly.
- Track orders and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Provide timely information to the Supply team, of any supplier or procurement activity that impacts t tolling manufacturing plants either realizing opportunity or indicating a potential risk.
- Develop, build, and maintain relationships with major suppliers to provide maximum utilization of their expertise, ideas, methods, market intelligence, best practices, and material application to achieve the best value.
- Identify, resolve, or mitigate performance issues relating to supplier performance while ensuring a positive working relationship with key or top suppliers.
- Must be capable of managing a diverse workload and multiple tasks with accuracy under minimal supervision.
- Collaborate with inventory and warehouse teams to monitor stock levels and avoid overstocking or stockouts.
- Ensure accurate tracking and timely replenishment of inventory.
- Assists Accounts Payable with invoice issues; assists other support departments, as necessary.
- Other duties as required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, or other related course of study.
- Minimum of 5 years of domestic and/or international experience as a Procurement Specialist with a global company executing contracts, preferably in Technology and/or Engineered products.
- Familiar with procurement procedures, standards, and codes.
- Highly analytical and capable of mapping processes to determine areas for improvement.
- Must be able to quickly learn complex software.
- Works well with others; understands and appreciated the value of teamwork.
- Must be intrinsically motivated to succeed and have ambitious standards for one’s own work product.
- International work experience and cultural sensitivity.
- Strong and clear written and verbal English communication and presentation skills.
- Prefer SPM, JDE E1, ERP, Oracle experience.
- Strong proficiency with the entire Microsoft Office Suite.
- The ideal candidate will be flexible and adaptable, demonstrating a willingness to take on new challenges and responsibilities as the scope of the role evolves in response to changing business needs and priorities.
