Job Overview : We are seeking a Procurement Manager for our Heat Transfer team based in Bloomfield, New Jersey, office which handles the procurement of proprietary and non-proprietary fired heaters, as well as heat exchangers and other specialized equipment. This position will be responsible for the management of the procurement disciplines and the integrity of the procurement work produced.
Primary functions include complying with Lummus Technology's business & legal policies, managing supplier base and ensuring effective management of procurement procedures. Provides leadership and instruction to the procurement team members and ensures that the work is coordinated between departments, offices and suppliers. The responsibilities include administrative tasks, management of procurement disciplines and keeping the integrity of the procurement work produced. Trains and develops employees to improve and enhance individual careers.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and give guidance to the Purchasing, and Document Controls Team
- Negotiation of terms and conditions, price level and schedule
- Manage Supply Chain risks and opportunities
- Understands the Company's terms & conditions for purchasing, ensuring Company T&C's are met
- Understand and negotiate contract requirements
- Evaluate and record supplier performance
- Monitor and manage deliveries and potential claim settlements with suppliers
- Safeguard and manage departmental and purchase order budgets
- Analyze and report cost impacts
- Provide workhour budgets for proposals
- Establish overall procurement workhour planning
- Develop and update project progress measurement
- Support business development activities
- Provide market intelligence to organization
- Ensures that work procedures and standards are maintained among offices
