Essential Functions
Directs and collaborates with subcontractors to determine optimal burial routes, set expectations, and ensure efficient service drops.
Splices and trains subcontractors on copper and fiber optic cable splicing to maintain high-quality installations.
Monitors and enforces subcontractor performance, ensuring contract compliance, service quality, and adherence to Lumos' standards.
Oversees daily operations, resolves customer concerns, and coordinates subcontractor resources to ensure timely and efficient work completion.
Conducts quality control checks, enforces safety protocols, and mitigates risks by ensuring proper equipment use and adherence to security procedures.
Manages competing priorities, adapts to changing environments, and motivates teams to maintain progress and execute flawless work.
Performs other duties as assigned, including departmental and cross-functional projects.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
Brings 7 years of telecom experience, specializing in fiber and copper service installation.
Holds a high school diploma or equivalent, with a strong technical background.
Takes initiative and works independently, staying proactive and focused on meeting goals.
Proactive, independent, and ability to take initiative to keep on-task and on-target.
Fiber or Telecom industry experience preferred.
Other Experience & Requirements
Works extensively with computers, keyboards, and peripherals, requiring frequent sedentary periods.
Engages in continuous visual, verbal, and cognitive tasks, utilizing strong comprehension and reasoning skills.
