Lumos is looking for a full-time Inside Sales Representative! Inside Sales Representatives launch potential customers’ relationships with Lumos. Communicate directly with residential customers to advise on the right mix of products and services and advocate on their behalf to drive a positive customer experience. Sell broadband, voice, TV, and other features via inbound and outbound calling. Strive to achieve monthly sales targets while staying mindful of alignment with customer’s individual needs. Provide unparalleled customer service by answering customer inquiries, and harnessing opportunities to promote and sell products and services.
***Remote Position: Preferred within commuting distance of: Covington, VA, Daleville, VA, Waynesboro, VA or High Point, NC. ***

Essential Functions
- Advocates for customers via inbound and outbound calls to understand customer needs, connect them with the right products and services in alignment with monthly sales goals.
- Proactively follows up to close sales, build and maintain internal and external customer relationships, and make outbound calls on a regular basis.
- Stay up-to-date with competitive products, new offerings, changes to methods and procedures, and new promotions. Educate customers about them.
- Performs data entry, customer experience management, and utilizes multiple systems daily.
- Achieves monthly sales targets in a high-volume, commission-based structure.
- Promote our Referral Program at the point of sale.
- Continually train and adjust approach on selling, customer service, and technical skills.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience listening, selling, and adjusting sales approach real-time.
- Experience using MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Working knowledge of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools.
- 2-3 years’ sales experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Proactive, independent, and ability to take initiative to keep on-task and on-target.
- Fiber or Telecom industry experience preferred.
