Sr. Business Analyst

We are seeking a highly experienced and analytical Sr. Business Analyst for a long-term contract position in Austin, TX. This role will be 4-5 days onsite

If selected, you will be responsible for evaluating business needs, documenting processes, and acting as a bridge between stakeholders and IT teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze and evaluate current business processes and systems to identify areas for improvement.
• Document both technical and user requirements with precision and clarity.
• Develop AS-IS and TO-BE process flows using industry-standard business mapping methodologies.
• Mediate between business units with conflicting requirements to identify mutually beneficial solutions.
• Collaborate with technical teams to produce critical project documentation including:
• Business Requirements Documents (BRDs)
• Technical Specifications
• Use Cases
• User Acceptance Test (UAT) Plans and Scripts
• Perform fit/gap analyses and contribute to high-level implementation effort estimations.
• Serve as a liaison between the business community and IT to ensure seamless communication.
• Support decision-makers by drafting statistical and analytical reports using tools such as Excel and Tableau.
• Proactively identify, manage, and mitigate risks and issues that may impact project timelines or deliverables.
• Facilitate and lead meetings and workshops with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Educate business unit staff on standardized processes and best practices.

Qualifications:

Minimum Required Experience:

• 8 years of experience in reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating business processes and systems
• 8 years of experience working with general IT SDLC processes
• 8 years of experience documenting AS-IS and TO-BE workflows
• 8 years of experience gathering both business and technical requirements
• 8 years acting as liaison between IT teams and business stakeholders
• 8 years of experience with data analysis tools such as Excel and Tableau
• 8 years of experience writing test cases and supporting UAT
• 8 years of experience facilitating large group meetings and stakeholder sessions
• Current Austin Metropolitan Area Resident

<>Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field
• Experience with business process reengineering or Lean Six Sigma methodologies
• Experience in government or highly regulated environments
