Key Responsibilities of an EVS Worker
Cleaning and Disinfecting:
Cleaning and disinfecting resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and common areas.
Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and polishing floors.
Cleaning and sanitizing surfaces, fixtures, and equipment.
Ensuring compliance with infection control protocols and guidelines.
Waste Management:
Properly handling and disposing of trash and waste materials, including biohazardous waste.
Emptying and relining trash receptacles.
Linen Management:
Distributing clean linen and transporting soiled linen.
Sorting, classifying, and marking items sent to the laundry.
Other Duties:
Dusting, cleaning, and polishing surfaces and finishes on furniture, woodwork, and fixtures.
Washing windows, walls, and counters.
Moving and rearranging furniture.
Operating typical electrical janitorial equipment.
