What are the responsibilities and job description for the Stargate (Ground Software) Intern - Summer 2025 position at Lunar Outpost?
All interns will work directly alongside full-time engineers on real, engaging, and impactful projects, providing tangible value to Lunar Outpost products. This internship is a truly end-to-end experience that promotes collaboration in every stage of autonomous robotic development!
Qualifications:
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Experience with NodeJS and React
- Experience with Python
Experience with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL - Understanding of Unit testing, Test-Driven Development and mocking frameworks
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to work methodically in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Can effectively demonstrate communication and interpersonal skills, while also excelling in collaboration and teamwork in an interdisciplinary environment
- Exhibits strong organizational and time management skills under pressure and in stressful situations
- Fueled by a passion for space exploration and the boundless possibilities beyond our world
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with AWS services (S3, dynamodb, lambda)
- Previous experience working on mission control software
Mid-May (May 19) to early August (August 8). Start and end dates are flexible with intern's school schedule. In-person, Monday - Friday in Arvada, Colorado.
