Summary

We’re seeking a skilled and experienced Family Law Paralegal to support our growing team. You must have 3 - 5 years of paralegal experience working in Georgia family law. Probate experience is a huge plus! Ideally you will use your work experience and organizational skills to prepare and maintain legal documents, file motions, interview clients, conduct legal research. You will mentor legal assistants and assign task lists. You will help a thriving law firm make a tangible difference in the lives of clients every day. What you will do

• A Family Law Paralegal mentors legal assistants with feedback and coaching
• Help lawyers prepare for trial by preparing and organizing exhibits, assisting with client meetings, filing motions, conducting research on legal articles, and organizing and coordinating witnesses
• Perform administrative duties such as answering phone calls and keeping our case filing system organized so all documents are readily accessible
• Draft legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence such as interrogatories, subpoenas, deposition notices, complaints, pretrial orders, legal briefs, and affidavits under the guidance of a lawyer
• Coordinate law office activity, including the drafting subpoenas and coordinating with process servers
  
  
  

What you will need

• Have completed an ABA-approved paralegal certificate program such as an AS degree or proprietary school program in paralegal studies, BS in paralegal is preferred
• Must have 3 years of paralegal experience with Georgia family law
• Probate experience is a plus
• Experience using MyCase, Clio Manage, Adobe, Peach Court, MS Suite is required.
• Enjoy working for and with people of diverse, ethnic, racial, and religious backgrounds
• Exceptional communication skill, both written and verbal are needed to work with all levels of staff and clients
• Excellent problem-solving skills supporting diverse staff and clients
