Manufacturing Director – Fort Worth, TX

Lunova Group is partnering with a leading global provider of industrial equipment and engineered solutions to identify a Manufacturing Director for their Fort Worth, TX facility. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for a results-driven operations leader with a passion for lean manufacturing, team development, and continuous improvement.

This site specializes in the final assembly and finishing of large, complex products for major infrastructure projects. If you're energized by process optimization, team leadership, and cross-functional collaboration, this could be a great next step in your career.

Why Join the Team?

Join a global organization with deep industry roots and a strong reputation for quality and innovation. In this high-impact leadership role, you’ll oversee the final assembly and finishing operations—bringing major, customized projects to life. It’s a unique opportunity to take ownership of a facility poised for transformation, build structure, and drive long-term operational improvements. You’ll collaborate with teams across the U.S., Mexico, and Europe, and work closely with international suppliers in a dynamic, cross-cultural environment.

About the Role:

The Manufacturing Director will oversee all aspects of manufacturing and assembly operations. You’ll manage a team of six direct reports across key departments including Assembly, Warehouse, Procurement, Planning, and Process Engineering. Your primary focus will be leading people and process: ensuring safety, improving efficiency, reducing costs, and supporting the execution of New Installation and Modernization projects. The role also involves cross-border collaboration with teams and suppliers in Mexico and frequent communication with global manufacturing leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a cross-functional manufacturing team, providing direction and coaching to promote performance, engagement, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee all manufacturing operations, driving lean principles, Six Sigma, and on-time, on-budget project execution.
  • Foster a strong safety culture by implementing proactive programs, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing comprehensive safety training to all employees.
  • Lead and develop cross-functional teams across Planning, Manufacturing Control, Engineering, Procurement, Logistics, and Production, promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Optimize inbound and outbound logistics, enhance material flow, and collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely, cost-effective procurement.
  • Manage inventory accuracy through ERP/MRP systems, cycle counts, physical audits, and automation strategies to maintain 95% accuracy.
  • Partner with Engineering, Quality, and Project Management to align production schedules with demand, support new product introductions, and minimize inventory disruption.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using KPIs, Lean, Kaizen, and Six Sigma to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and boost productivity.
  • Align long-term manufacturing strategy with business goals through capacity forecasting, workforce planning, and strategic resource allocation.
  • Lead financial planning for the manufacturing function, monitoring costs, optimizing budgets, and reporting performance metrics to leadership.
  • Collaborate with international teams to ensure global process alignment, share best practices, and maintain quality and consistency across regions.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field required.
  • 10 years of manufacturing experience, with 5 years in a leadership role managing cross-functional teams.
  • Proven background in assembly or manufacturing of complex, heavy industrial equipment required.
  • Experience working in a multinational environment; familiarity with Mexican manufacturing operations is a plus.
  • Strong working knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Proficiency in Spanish is highly preferred due to ongoing communication with suppliers and internal teams.

We’re looking for a hands-on leader with a strategic mindset to take ownership and build something stronger. What matters most is your ability to rally a team, manage through complexity, and build toward a better future. This is a key hire, and we’re focused on finding someone ready to lead with purpose
