Overview

Together these entities make up the generic and branded U.S. business. Lupin has a significant generic pipeline, and a branded focus on women’s health. Our first Research and Development facility in the US is located in Coral Springs, Florida which focuses on generic and branded orally inhaled and nasal drug products. Somerset, New Jersey is home to one of twelve commercial manufacturing sites globally and the only commercial manufacturing facility in the United States for Lupin, as well as additional Research and Development teams. Responsibilities

Role Summary

The position is responsible for operating liquid, powder, tablet, filling equipment including troubleshooting and making minor mechanical adjustments. Must be able to keep accurate and detailed records, understand batch records, and maintain cleanliness of the work area.  Must follow standard operating procedures for the packaging operation. 2nd Shift - 2:00 p.m. - 10:15 p.m.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Set up and operate liquid/powder/tablet filling machines and scales to package pharmaceutical products.
• Perform job functions as per written instructions in Standard Operating Procedures; Packaging Batch records; cGMP’s and verbal instructions from supervisors and line leaders
• Document all the packaging activities in packaging batch records, log books, and any other appropriate cGMP documents
• Ensure that all products are manufactured and packaged according to quality standards and product specifications through daily execution of batch master records
• Work as per the line operating speed and standards to meet the production and quality goals.
• Perform equipment cleaning, room cleaning, inspection, sanitization, material transfers, labelling and palletization,
• Perform documentation of the activities as per GMP requirements
• Follow batch record instructions during the packaging process, as per standard operating procedures
• Operator must adhere to all safety guidelines and ensure that the final product meets high-quality standards
• Work in team environment to achieve targets outputs

Qualifications

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalency degree
• Minimum of 1-year prior experience utilizing filling equipment in liquid, powder, tablet filling operation
• Experience in powder filling or tablet-filling operations is a plus.
• Must be capable of lifting between 25-70 lbs.
• Grammatical and communication skills, both written and verbal to keep others informed of progress and changes in the status of work
• Able to work as part of a team and adapt to changes in work duties
• Detail-oriented, thorough and methodical, and able to follow the timeline
• Experience with SAP a plus
• Performs other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements

The physical requirements of the position generally include: standing, walking, sitting, using hands and fingers, reaching with hands and arms, talking, and hearing. In some circumstances, bending, kneeling, crouching, stooping, and crawling may apply. This position may require lifting up to 35 pounds occasionally. Generally, work is performed in office and manufacturing environments.
