About the Position
We are seeking an experienced and successful Business Analyst (Rail Transit / Transportation) to evaluate business processes, anticipate requirements, uncover areas for improvement, and develop optimization strategies for projects in the heavy civil infrastructure and rail transit industries.
This is a long term, full-time, on-site position located in Washington DC.
Responsibilities
- Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs.
- Formulates systems to parallel overall business strategies.
- Prepares solution options, risk identification, and financial analyses such as cost / benefit, ROI, buy / build, etc.
- Writes detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer programs.
- Prepares and documents Functional and Technical Specifications for reporting and data warehouse work.
- Assists with business warehouse / intelligence support and enhancements.
- Develops RFPs and assists in deployment and management of end-user reporting tools and platforms.
- Works with IT and business project teams to understand reporting and data warehousing requirements and proposes solutions.
- Documents and provides knowledge transfer to the rest of the Enterprise Reporting Team for all solutions.

Compensation Details
The salary range listed for this role is $62-156k annually. The final salary offered is based on multiple factors and is thoughtfully aligned with each candidate's level of experience, breadth of skills, total education achieved, certifications / licenses that have been obtained, etc.
