Insurance Defense Firm in Downtown Mobile seeks Paralegal with 2 years of experience in Civil Litigation.
Candidates must have the ability to perform a variety of complex duties accurately and in a timely manner with limited supervision, possess exceptional analytical/communication/organizational skills, and the drive to learn and grow within the position.
Position requires excellent grammar & proof-reading skills, strict attention to detail, proficiency in e-filing/e-service applications, and general knowledge of Federal and State Rules of Civil Procedures and HIPAA compliance.
Primary duties include:
- Conducting factual and legal research;
- Monitor files to ensure compliance with all applicable deadlines;
- Drafting written discovery, discovery requests, and standard motions;
- Preparing documents/exhibits for production, determining & electronically securing privileged information;
- Requesting, organizing, and summarizing of records;
- Assist attorney with preparation for depositions, mediations, hearings, and trial;
- Recording daily billable hours in compliance with various client guidelines.
