Mental Health Clinician Part Time

POSITION SUMMARY: The Healthy Relationships Group Facilitator / Mental Health Clinician is responsible for providing counseling/psychotherapy to various groups, children, families, and adults. This position is also responsible for maintaining accurate records, relating to other staff in a supportive manner, recommending and carrying out agency policies, remaining professionally current, facilitating / cofacilitating Healthy Relationships groups, and representing the agency in the community.

**This is a part time position working approx 10 hours per week**

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
HEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS GROUP FACILITATOR:

• Facilitate groups of clients who are court mandated, have criminal charges, have ODHS Child Welfare involvement, and are experiencing mental health conditions
• Provide culturally mindful / trauma informed mental health treatment services to victims of violence including adults, children, youth, and families
• Provide reunification work when appropriate and requested
• Conduct Domestic Violence and Anger Management specific evaluations and mental health assessments
• Diagnose client problems utilizing the most current DSM format and formulate treatment plans
• Complete necessary case notes and records to document assessment & client progress
• Utilize and provide consultation to community resources when appropriate
• Coordinate and collaborate care with client referents and other community partners
• Represent the agency in the community

CLINIC-BASED MENTAL HEALTH CLINICIAN:

• Provide culturally mindful mental health treatment services to children, youth, and families experiencing mental health conditions
• Conduct mental health screenings and assessments to determine treatment needs
• Diagnose utilizing most current DSM format
• Facilitate consumer participation in the development of treatment plans based on consumer strengths
• Maintain timely case notes and records in alignment with the agency’s documentation standards
• Apply evidenced-based practices in treatment
• Collaborate with consumer supports, including family members, partner agencies, and others as indicated on an ongoing basis

• Requires strict adherence of HIPAA standards in the office workspace to ensure confidentiality

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Masters Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or similar clinically related field from a recognized graduate school is required. Experience/training in play therapy and working with children is preferred. Work experience with Domestic Violence and/or providing parent education classes is a plus.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Current counseling certification and licensing in the state of Oregon, or making progress toward securing an Oregon license. Must have a current driver’s license, car insurance, and access to a vehicle.
