What are the responsibilities and job description for the Restorative Justice Facilitation Coordinator position at Lutheran Community Services Northwest?
MISSION IMPACT: All LCSNW team members will contribute to our mission of partnering with individuals, families and communities for health, justice and hope.The Restorative Justice Facilitation Coordinator contributes to our mission by promoting healing, accountability, and justice through restorative practices, fostering inclusive and compassionate communities, building collaborative partnerships, and advocating for systemic change. This occurs through the intake and coordination of restorative justice services, as well as by engaging in restorative justice interventions for less complex cases.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct case intake, gathering relevant information (e.g., victim statements, offender histories), assessing readiness and suitability for services, and organizing case files
Schedule and coordinate restorative justice circles/meetings, ensuring all parties are informed of their responsibilities and meeting logistics
Under the guidance of Restorative Justice Facilitators and management, design and implement restorative justice interventions for less complex cases, using assessment standards and escalating complex cases as needed
Track and monitor case progress, ensuring timely follow-up and closure
Maintain accurate and confidential case records, providing clerical support and preparing materials for restorative justice activities
Communicate with victims, offenders, and community members to provide information and ensure participation in the restorative justice process
Collaborate with law enforcement, legal and judicial professionals, community organizations, social services, and mental health providers to create a network of support for restorative justice participants
Support outreach efforts, maintain resource materials, and assist in organizing training sessions or workshops for facilitators and volunteers

REQUIREMENTS:
1 year of related experience in case management, social services or conflict resolution, ideally within a restorative justice or community-based program
Lived experience that enhances relatability to clients being served is beneficial, though not required
Associate’s in social work, criminal justice, psychology, conflict resolution or related field; substantial relevant experience will be considered in place of degree
Core Facilitator training must be successfully completed within 6 months of hire, in the absence of a related degree
Fluency in English andadditional language(s) as outlined in the job posting, both spoken and written
Basic mastery of business applications and productivity suites

Thrives in a diverse and multicultural environment; works with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies to enhance end-user experiences throughout the service lifecycle

Interacts with others and performs tasks in-person and through the use of technology, with moderate periods of stationary activity and moderate periods of increased physical activity including and not limited to sitting, standing and walking
Moves equipment/materials weighing up to 25 pounds
Travels between worksites regularly
Works in a variety of settings, including and not limited to LCSNW office locations, partner agency and community-based settings, client home/community settings, outdoor settings in varying weather conditions, and faith-based settings such as churches
Meets LCSNW criminal background clearance requirements and other job-relevant clearances as required by the State or program
