Key Responsibilities:
- Cultivate & Expand: Build powerful partnerships with individuals, organizations, and foundations to secure major gifts and diversify our donor base. You'll be the driving force behind expanding LFCS’s reach and influence in Kansas City.
- Engage & Build: Develop strong, meaningful connections with donors, local influencers, and key stakeholders. Your efforts will inspire long-term commitment and investment in our mission through tailored communications, visits, fundraising events, and continuous engagement.
- Innovative Fundraising: Lead exciting, cutting-edge fundraising campaigns that engage the community and retain loyal donors. Use a dynamic blend of traditional and digital platforms to increase support and elevate LFCS to new levels of impact.
- Represent LFCS in the Community: Take the lead at key community events and networking opportunities. Partner with the Senior Leadership Team to raise LFCS's profile, foster collaboration, and strengthen ties with businesses, civic leaders, and other nonprofits.
- Track Success: Use data to drive decisions, monitoring all development efforts to ensure success, sustainability, and the continued growth of our relationships with donors using Donor Perfect database software.
- Lead & Inspire: Manage and mentor our KC Development team, fostering a collaborative and empowering environment that aligns with our core mission and values.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Non-Profit Management, or a related field. 5 plus years of business development experience preferably in non-profit with a proven track record of success. 2 plus years of supervisory experience with a strong ability to lead, motivate, and build effective teams.
