Job Summary
We seek experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to fill various shifts at Lutheran Home of Southbury.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to assigned individuals according to their plan of care and professional scope.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and nursing actions taken.
- Make informed decisions regarding patient care and prioritize tasks based on individual needs.
- Contribute to maintaining a safe working environment by adhering to infection control, risk management, safety, and disaster programs.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications
- Active and valid CT RN/LPN licensure.
- Possess current CPR certification.
- RNs only: IV certification required.
- Develop and apply nursing and medical knowledge and best practices effectively.
- Able to adapt to rotating schedules, including weekends.
- Graduate of an approved licensed practical nursing education program, degree preferred.
- Meet additional certification requirements specific to the unit.
