Summary :
The Data Manager will be responsible for overseeing our organization's data management processes, ensuring data accuracy, security, and compliance with relevant regulations; This role will collaborate with various departments to support data-driven decision-making and will play a critical part in the overall data strategy for LSS.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
1. Data Governance : Develops and implements data governance policies and procedures to ensure data integrity, quality, and security across the organization
2. Data Collection and Integration : Oversees the collection, storage, and integration of data from multiple sources, ensuring that data is accurate, consistent, and readily accessible
3. Data Analysis and Reporting : Collaborates with the Director of Data Science, the LSS IT Team, the LSS Leadership Team, and LSS Departmental subject matter experts (i.e. Finance, Clinical, and Marketing) to design, build, and implement data analysis and reporting solutions (text or graphical) that support business objectives
4. Data Security : By working with the Director of Information Security, the Data Manager ensures the security of data by implementing appropriate data protection measures and compliance with data privacy regulations
5. Data Quality Management : Monitors and improves data quality through continuous assessment and implementation of best practices and tools, including the continued improvement and optimization of existing report structures and sources
6. Stakeholder Collaboration : Works closely with key stakeholders from various departments to understand their data needs and provide solutions that support their objectives
7. Project Management : Leads and manages data-related projects, independently and in coordination with other LSS Project Managers, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
8. Training and Development : Develops and delivers training programs to enhance data literacy and skills across the organization
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
Required :
- Bachelor's degree in Data Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in data management, with a proven track record in implementing data governance frameworks and managing data-related projects
- Strong proficiency in data management tools and technologies, such as SQL, data warehousing solutions, data visualization tools, and data integration platforms
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in managing data and related processes
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Knowledge of data privacy regulations and compliance requirements (e.g., HIPAA)
