Summary:
Demonstrates the philosophy of the sponsoring Lutheran congregations, through upholding the EverTrue mission of “Older Adults Living Life to the Fullest”, core values and code of conduct. Performs dispatch, phone, and clerical support in accordance with established procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Operates telephone/paging system receiving and transferring all incoming, internal, and external phone calls and making pages
Serves as point person for residents to call in maintenance issues; Documents maintenance issues and puts in a ticket to Maintenance Department
Monitors and responds to the location’s fire alarm system
Conducts overhead announcements during emergency situations
Maintains a current listing of residents by name and room number/address, emergency numbers, on-call personnel, department and employee extensions and critical residents
Greets and provides directions/information to visitors, residents and other customers and greets visitors, residents and other customers while monitoring the front desk in the absence of the receptionist
Controls building access, monitors weather conditions and alarms and directs emergency personnel to destinations as needed
Monitors key system controlling access to cards, CCTV systems and two-way talk system
Reports suspicious individuals and suspicious calls to supervisor immediately
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
High school diploma or GED required
Six or more months of prior experience as Dispatcher
Must be able to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one on one and small group situations.
Basic computer skills, ability to retrieve data, and data entry
