Summary of Role
The Wellness Coordinator plans and implements a complete schedule of wellness programs suitable for older adults.
Responsibilities
1. Plans, schedules, and implements a variety of wellness programming that supports all dimensions of wellness: physical, social, intellectual, expressive, spiritual, etc. Evaluates classes and workshops based on resident wellness needs, interests, and activity levels.
2. Maintains responsibility for the oversight of pool, fitness, locker, and wellness spaces to ensure cleanliness and safety of the environment and safety of all who utilize these spaces. May include opening and closing wellness spaces and tracking supply inventory and maintenance needs.
3. Maintain wellness spaces in accordance with regulations and guidelines established by county and as directed by Director of Community Wellness. Includes monitoring and adjusting of pool and spa chemical balances, cleaning of the pool and deck area, and documentation on equipment functioning.
4. May be assigned, by their Executive Director and Director of Lifestyle Enrichment, the responsibility of coordinating their Community’s volunteer program in conjunction with a designated member of the EverTrue Volunteer and Community Engagement team, which may include determining volunteer needs, onboarding and orientation, record-keeping, evaluation and retention of the volunteers.
5. May organize and lead occasional wellness programs for staff as part of employee wellness initiatives as designed by Director of Community Wellness.

The employee must be able to demonstrate a wide range of physical movements and exercise movements including proper technique frequently. The employee may help with moving residents in wheelchairs, setting up tables and chairs and other supplies and equipment used for activities. Employee lifts up to 40 lbs on an occasional basis. Employee pushes and pulls a maximum force of 30 lbs.

Background and Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; College Degree or 2 years of related work experience preferred
- First Aid and CPR certifications required; Additional certifications related to aqua fitness, land fitness and exercise training preferred
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret general and professional documents. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one on one and small group situations.
- Proficient computer skills, including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, MS word processing, Excel spreadsheets, graphics, etc.
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
- Must possess the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures.
