What are the responsibilities and job description for the Child Welfare Advocate position at Lutheran Services Florida?
- Conduct mental health assessments and provide ongoing clinical services to Unaccompanied Children referred to the Dream Center.
- Collaborate with the case management team to provide intensive, short-term clinical services in accordance with Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) policies.
- Apply knowledge of child welfare best practices to protect clients in care and mitigate risk factors.
- Maintain documentation of all clinical activities in accordance with ORR policy.
**Requirements**
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in social work or relevant behavioral science field.
- Clinical experience in a residential facility.
- Ability to collaborate with others, including case management staff, educational team members, and supervisors.
- Excellent writing skills.
- Computer skills sufficient to perform essential functions.
Languages:
- Bilingual in Spanish and English required.
