Job Summary:

As an Administrative Specialist, you will provide general administrative support to the Service Coordination team. This position will organize files, prepare forms and documents, sort mail, respond to emails and phone calls, act as Service Coordinator of the day, process expenses, and offer general staff support. This position works with people from a wide variety of levels, from the people we serve to the PICS leadership team.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • One or more years administrative support or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Working with diverse populations including Social Services, Human Services preferred.
  • Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software required.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency working with numbers.
  • Able to perform a variety of on-going tasks in a fast paced atmosphere.
  • Able to read, analyze, and interpret Department of Human Services' policies and regulations as well as applicable state and federal laws related to service delivery.
  • Able to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the community.
  • Must be well organized, detail oriented, and able to prioritize responsibilities to complete work correctly and in a timely manner.
  • Critical thinking skills and independent decision-making abilities.
