LSSI is hiring a full-time Program Director position to plan, direct and coordinate activities of assigned CCS programs. May include one or more program sites generally involving multiple service lines.
This position will oversee the Peoria office.

Essential Functions:

  • Engages in strategic planning, goal setting for the programs and develops procedures and systems that enhance the effectiveness of the programs.
  • Provides direct supervision, training, support, review and evaluation for child welfare supervisors and other assigned staff.
  • Develops, implements, and is accountable for the program budgets along with evaluation of program effectiveness as it relates to cost and objectives.
  • Collaborates with other management staff in programs and network on programmatic, fiscal, organizational and community issues.
  • Maintains staffing requirements and assigns responsibilities for coordination and organization of the program staff activities.

Position Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work or related DCFS/COA acceptable degree required.
  • Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience required.
  • State licensing/certification as required by the State of Illinois Department of Children and Family Services.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate in a clear, comprehensible manner, both verbally and in writing.
  • Background check clearance, both criminal and CANTS.
  • Valid Il statutory minimum liability insurance coverage, bodily injury and property damage required.
  • Valid Illinois driver’s license in good standing for the state of residency required. Access to reliable transportation.
