Summary
As the Director of Behavioral Health at Lutheran Social Services of Northwestern Ohio, you will lead our initiatives in providing exceptional mental health and substance use disorder services. This role is pivotal in shaping our programs and ensuring they align with our mission to support individuals in overcoming challenges related to mental health and wellness.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the development and implementation of behavioral health programs and services.
- Ensure compliance with state regulations and accreditation standards.
- Lead a team of mental health professionals, providing guidance and support.
- Develop training programs for staff on best practices in behavioral health care.
- Collaborate with community partners to enhance service delivery and outreach efforts.
- Monitor program effectiveness through data analysis and client feedback.
- Advocate for clients' needs within the organization and the community.
- Stay informed on current trends and research in behavioral health to inform program development.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in social work, psychology, or related field; Doctorate preferred.
- Licensure as a mental health professional (e.g., LISW, LPCC).
- Extensive experience in behavioral health services, including leadership roles.
- Strong knowledge of psychopharmacology and its applications in treatment plans.
- Familiarity with gender issues counseling is beneficial.
- Ability to supervise a diverse group of mental health professionals in three office sites.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with staff and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining high-quality standards.
