Job Summary : Inspired by God's love, Financial Educators care for, support and strengthen individuals, families and communities by working as a member of the LSSSD team. Financial Educators work with clients and creditors to positively and proactively address and resolve financial issues.
Job Responsibilities :
1. Identify, address and resolve clients’ financial issues.
2. Communicate with clients, creditors and agency partners.
3. Promote and educate clients and the public regarding services provided by LSSSD.
4. Document and report information.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required : Supervisory Responsibility : None.
Education and / or Experience
- BA or BS plus 1-2 yr. financial experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Achieve certification as a NFCC Certified Credit Counselor and Housing Counselor.

Individual client situations vary in complexity, requiring the ability to adapt accordingly to develop solutions.
