We are seeking a Mechanical/Utility Engineer to join a great opportunity .!


Position Summary:

The Mechanical/Utility Engineer is responsible for supporting the installation, maintenance, and optimization of heavy equipment and utility systems including compressors, cooling towers, water management systems, and pneumatic systems. This role requires hands-on mechanical expertise combined with engineering knowledge to ensure all utility systems operate efficiently and reliably in support of production operations.


Responsibilities:

Assist / Lead in the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of mechanical and utility equipment

Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on compressors, cooling towers, water management systems, and pneumatic systems

Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues and implement appropriate solutions

Support utility system upgrades and improvement projects

Develop and maintain technical documentation for equipment and procedures

Assist in the development of preventive maintenance schedules and protocols

Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements to increase efficiency

Ensure compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations

Collaborate with maintenance teams to coordinate repair activities

Participate in root cause analysis for equipment failures

Support energy conservation initiatives and utility optimization efforts

Follow engineering specifications and standard operating procedures

Implement OSHA standards in work culture to achieve zero recordable injury at all times

Maintain clean and safe work environment at all times

Required Competencies:

Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting skills

Knowledge of industrial utility systems including compressed air, cooling water, and HVAC

Experience with heavy equipment installation and maintenance

Familiarity with compressors, cooling towers, water treatment, and pneumatic systems

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

Basic understanding of control systems and instrumentation

Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment

Good analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Basic project management skills

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Self-starter yet able to follow instructions as directed

Able to listen effectively and get clarification

Treats others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position

Able to use equipment and materials properly at all times

Is consistently at work and on time

Follows instructions and responds to management direction in a professional and timely manner

Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field

4-5 years of experience in mechanical/utility systems in an industrial environment

Experience with installation and maintenance of heavy industrial equipment

Demonstrated knowledge of utility systems including compressors, cooling towers, and pneumatic systems

Experience with water management systems and treatments

Understanding of energy efficiency principles and practices

Basic knowledge of relevant codes and standards (ASME, API, etc.)
