What are the responsibilities and job description for the Landscape Maintenance and Nursery Worker position at Lux Perennials Nursery?
Opportunity: Work in a large garden with 1000's of flowering plants on 37 wooded acres 20 min northwest of Portland.
Job Description:
Work in maintenance of the landscape and property, including weeding, pruning, edging, and planting. The ideal candidate is someone who has experience with landscape plants and maintenance or has worked in a nursery or landscape maintenance company. This includes property maintenance, controlling blackberries and other invasives.
Qualifications:
· Experience in landscaping or plant nurseries preferred.
· Willing to work hard - digging, weeding, hauling, etc, is all part of the job
· Experience using landscape maintenance tools, including edger, string trimmer, blower, backpack sprayer, etc. Also a benefit if can operate a chainsaw.
· Knowledge of plants that grow well in PNW a plus
· Detail-oriented and careful
· Physically able to do the work described. Ability to lift 40-50 lbs regularly and safely.
· ·Excellent communication skills
