Here at The Groves we are looking for a rock-star night supervisor LPN or RN! This will be a full time no on-call or weekend needed position.
Schedule: Tuesday-Friday 9pm-7am

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES: To provide oversight and administrative direction to the facility’s resident and employee activities of the evening/night shift. The House Supervisor coordinates and manages the clinical and administrative activities. Assume the highest possible level of resident care within the scope of the Missouri Nurse Practice Act, along with accepted standards of resident care.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Obtains report from Administrative Assistants, Assistant Director of Nursing, and off-going House Supervisor, as appropriate.
- Makes rounds to each nursing station. Responsible to ensure quality control measures are in place and enforced.
- Completes records and administrative reports as required.
- Assists and supports Charge Nurses with staff issues and the employee discipline process.
- Assists in orientation and monitoring of new employees.
- Communicates changes in policy and procedure to staff.
- Performs annual competency reviews and evaluations as assigned.
- Ensures all units are provided with necessary equipment and supplies.
- Ensures work assignments are appropriate. Monitors employee work for compliance.
- Coordinates and assists with monthly checking of MARs, TARs, and medication counts.
- Provides facility-wide oversight of all departments and takes administrative action if and when necessary, including employee disciplinary action.
- Facilitates conflict resolution with families/staff. Uses professional discretion with regards to problem solving and decision making.
- Maintains regular, reliable, and consistent attendance at the worksite as directed by supervisor.
- Adheres to the provisions of The Groves Ethical Standards, Guidelines/Compliance Plan, and exemplifies high ethical standards in all activities and interactions.
- Complies with all provisions of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
- Ensures that the Nursing Department maintains compliance with all federal and state regulatory and licensure requirements.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Current Missouri license to practice as a registered professional nurse.
- Two years of long term care nursing experience, with one year in previous management/supervisor experience.
- Must possess a high degree of interpersonal relations skills and capability of relating to a variety of people and personalities. Considerable initiative, judgment, and leadership skills are also required.
- Must possess strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Exposed to body fluids, infection, odors, and behavior of residents.
- Exposed to chemicals/cleaning solutions.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, and visitors.
- Ability to work harmoniously with other personnel.
- Ability to minimize waste of supplies, misuse of equipment, etc.
- Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position.
- Must possess sight/hearing senses or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately so that the requirements of this position can be fully met.
- Must be in good general health and demonstrate emotional stability.
- Must be able to lift, push, pull, or move equipment, supplies, etc., in excess of fifty (50) pounds.
- Must be able to lift, carry, stand, bend, squat, crawl, reach, and kneel using good body mechanics for sustained periods of time.
