Job Summary: The Staffing Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that adequate staffing is available for all residents to provide quality care in accordance with current federal, state and local regulations. The Staffing Coordinator also represents Rancho Rehab and Healthcare Center to the residents, their guests, families and the community. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and be able to read and write. Must be a C.N.A, CMT, or LPN in the State of Missouri.
Experience:
Prefer 2 years’ experience in a supervisory capacity in long term care and have a working knowledge of operational standards in a long term care community.
Reasoning Skills:
Ability to understand and follow directions.
Oral/Written Communication Skills:
Ability to read, write and speak English. Ability to interact pleasantly and effectively with staff, residents and families and possess clear verbal and written communication skills.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The essential duties and responsibilities described below are representative, but not necessarily all-inclusive, of the position:
- Create monthly schedules to ensure adequate staffing on each shift. All schedules should be dated as revised whether written or computer based.
- Daily staffing sheets are to be completed timely and accurately and to be posted timely in the department and to DON.
- Assist in taking calls to ensure adequate staff and cover call-ins.
- Perform duties of Charge Nurse, CMT and Resident Care Specialist (CNA) as needed to ensure proper staffing of Rancho Rehab and Health Care.
- Track attendance and tardiness on all nursing staff including vacation days, personal days, sick time, safety days, etc.
- Be fair and consistent with all nursing staff at all times.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Schedule changes for any staff must be well communicated with the individual and/or the department if a new schedule is being posted.
- Maintain a direct, firm approach to balance the number of nursing employees, their requests and to meet coverage.
- Communicate with the DON of staffing needs/concerns.
- Utilize PT and PRN staff to cover open shifts to minimize OT.
- Responsible for staff recruitment, participate in the interviewing and selection process and ensure all hiring processes are followed.
- Assure new hires have required vaccines as needed.
- Follow State Regulations and policies & procedures.
- Participate in all training offered by employer.
- Perform other duties as required or assigned.
