Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Education - Bachelor's Degree in Business Management or related field. Master's Degree preferred.
- Experience - Four (4) years experience in leadership roles in higher education, business, or community organizations, preferably with demonstrated skills in workforce development.
- Skills - Demonstrated in-depth and current knowledge of state education, economic, and workforce development initiatives and resources; demonstrated ability to compile and analyze research data and present data in tabular, pictorial, and graphic form required; excellent analytical, organizational, marketing, and planning skills with an ability to prioritize, drive and complete multiple projects; excellent problem solving, with an ability to take disparate sets of quantitative and qualitative data and drive to innovative solutions; excellent interpersonal, influencing, written and oral communication skills essential; demonstrated ability to build relationships with employees in various roles within organizations and in the community and perform in a broad range of environments including academic, government, and business.
Responsible for of the development and promotion of workforce development education initiatives and programs; Recruit, assign and evaluate instructors; Manage and oversee Workforce Development budget; Represent and interface on behalf of the College with external business constituencies; Oversee and facilitate with faculty in connecting curriculum to employer needs and labor demands; Manage Occupational Advisory Board process and populate Employer Advisory Boards; Implement and manage non-credit to credit initiatives; Research, write and manage grants for workforce development initiatives; Manage customized Job Training Programs including all contract outreach and management associated with the program; Supervise staff, assign work and work schedules, adjust priorities, final authority on approval/disapproval of leave, conduct performance evaluation of staff, make recommendations for hiring and/or termination and problem resolution; Flexible work hours including evenings and weekends.
