Workforce Development Associate
Summary Purpose for the Position:
To create and build strong relationships with area employers/organizations, through marketing PathStone Training and employment Program that will provide ongoing opportunities of employment for EARN Program participants. To assist, support, encourage and motivate customers through the training and employment process. This position operates within the framework of a team concept to accomplish the goals of delivering excellent customer service including career discovery and development, job placement and retention, emergency, support, and referral services. Demonstrated technical and interpersonal skills and /or marketing skills with specific emphasis on the issues of hard to serve populations.
Requirements (Education, Experience, Certification, Knowledge, Skill):
Demonstrated knowledge, a minimum of four years of job related training and proficiency in job placement/development, development of training (skills and academic) and outreach/recruitment or 1 year demonstrated marketing experience.
Position also requires demonstrated experience providing services to target population through linkages with other community resources and/or agencies.
Must be bilingual, English-Spanish.
Position Responsibilities:
Interviews program participants to determine their goals and outcomes.
Screens participants to inform and clarify program objectives.
Ability to monitor time and attendance for EARN program participants
Disseminates program information to employers and service agencies.
Insures strong community networks through collaboration with service provider agency representatives, community groups and area employers
Participants fully in case management meetings.
Development and maintenance of written individual client transition plans in EDRP/ IFDP & for client to ensure buying.
Collaboration with agency representatives, community groups, and area employers.
Participate fully in training in all areas of diversity (race, religion, sex, etc.)Through meetings, trainings, etc.
Work with non-profit agencies to identify weaknesses, strengthen programs, & plan for continued viability
Coordinate and assist in the facilitation of quarterly advisory committee meetings. Design procedures and process and coordinate activities with multiple agencies
In the event of a countywide reassessment, the Assessment Program Coordinator must coordinate ongoing workflow in addition to assisting with various aspects with the reassessment
Working Conditions/Environment:
Include flexible work hours, including evenings & weekends
Extensive travel
Frequent exposure to different hazardous environments and/or individuals at a high risk of being infected with serious illness such as HIV, Hepatitis, or TB.

Position requires automobile, driver’s license and insurance.
