Minimum Position Qualifications:
Academic Rank: Instructor
- Education - Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Instructional or Educational Design, or a related field. Master's Degree is preferred.
- Experience - Three (3) years experience in the following areas: software development and integrations, technical support and troubleshooting, current technologies, course development and instruction, preferably in a higher education setting.
- Skills - Demonstrated skills in LMS administration, distance education technologies, implementing and maintaining various computer software packages, and project management. Ability to apply technology to improve college-level teaching and learning systems. Communicate effectively orally and in writing. Knowledge of Americans with Disabilities (ADA) compliance as it pertains to the distance education environment.
Responsible for the implementation and modification of instructional software and course management systems; Setup, test, maintain, and troubleshoot of new and existing LTI integrations with various publisher software; Maintain and troubleshoot faculty and student enrollments (including student and staff ID and name changes); Archive existing classes and rebuild archived classes based on faculty requests; Coordinate with the college Instructional Designer on course shell creation & troubleshooting for all classes across all semesters; Answer and troubleshoot LMS related technical support issues for faculty and students in conjunction with the IT Help Desk; Implement LMS platform transition and technology upgrade projects; Collaborative virtual classroom tool administration, maintenance, and archiving; Maintain separate server environments ; Run LMS reports.
Entry Salary: $48,168.00/annualStandard Work Week: 35 hours
