FT Media Services Technician

• Education - Associate Degree in Photography/Videography, Video Production or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience - Two (2) years of experience in professional videography
• Skills - Proficient in video/photographic editing management software; strong social media skills; in the use of computer software including photo editing applications; writing ability to generate text for photo captions and feature stories; ability to budget time to meet production deadlines; excellent oral and written communication skills

Document college events through digital video, social media and photography as needed by the Office of the President and Public Relations Director in the dissemination of news and newsworthy materials; professionally produce video content and photography using independent creative judgement to effectively tell compelling stories for social media websites; Assists in planning and coordination of production activities; responsible for audio and video production for College related events and activities as directed by Director of Public Relations and External Affairs and Office of the President; provides input with development of College procedures related to the function of this area; maintains and coordinates repair of all associated equipment; assists Director with budget planning; maintains necessary supplies and places orders, when necessary; recommend equipment and supplies for the College relative to video production, dissemination and processing; produce stories for news outlets; stack clips; performs other duties as assigned within the context of this position; position requires flexible work hours within a forty (40) hour work week, Monday through Friday inclusive.
