What are the responsibilities and job description for the FT Temporary Instructor of Nursing - Clinical Skills Lab/Simulation (All Campus/Program Locations) Spring Semester 2025 position at Luzerne County Community College?
Position Classification: Full-Time Nine (9) Month Faculty
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Education - Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an NLN, ACEN or AACN accredited program with a documented plan or current progression in a Master's Degree in Nursing program; Master's Degree in Nursing preferred.
- Experience - Two (2) years teaching experience teaching nursing students in a clinical setting, campus skills lab/clinical simulation is preferred; two (2) current professional nursing practice in an acute care nursing care setting is preferred; Registered Nurse licensure n Pennsylvania is required.
- Skills - Demonstrated proficiency in teaching and supervising Nursing students in clinical settings, campus skills lab, and/or clinical simulation center; demonstrated communication skills both oral and written; demonstrated leadership and teaching ability; demonstrated ability to work collegially and collaboratively with diverse internal and external constituencies.
Clinical, campus skills lab, simulation center teaching as assigned; instructor will be responsible for clinical, lab and/or simulation preparation; coordination of learning experiences with clinical agencies as assigned; planning, instruction and evaluation of clinical experiences for students; responsible for attending and actively participating in weekly Nursing Department faculty, team and committee meetings on the main campus and participating on college committees; perform such other reasonable duties as assigned by the Director/Dean of Nursing. Must travel to our Main Campus and/or other assigned clinical locations.
Entry Salary: $40,147/annualStandard Work Week: 35 hours
