Position Classification: Part-Time Security
Minimum Position Qualifications
Patrol College facilities, grounds, parking areas as a deterrent to violations of State laws and College policy for the purpose of preventing crime; open and secure College facilities as scheduled; respond to and manage emergency situations and incidents on campus, including vehicle and personal accidents, property damage, fires, alarms, and other occurrences; perform investigations of reported violations of State and College regulations; enforce College parking and traffic regulations; prepare security reports as needed; inspect and report on status of fire and safety equipment as directed; perform as medical first responder, adhering to established safety and health procedures and practices; complies with all training requirements for security officers and maintains required Act 235(f) certification; other related duties as assigned.
Entry Salary: $16.48/hr
Standard Work Week: 16 hours

Minimum Position Qualifications
- Education - High School Diploma or GED; Lethal Weapons Act 235(f) Certification; or must obtain valid PA Act 235 (f) license within 6 months of employment; Valid Pennsylvania Motor Vehicle Operator License; CPR/AED and First Aid certifications preferred.
- Experience - Three (3) years appropriate work experience, preferably in the field of contract security or law enforcement.
- Skills - Demonstrated strong commitment to public service; ability to communicate effectively with a diverse community; training in the field of law enforcement preferred.
