Controls Engineer
Overview: The Controls Engineer, reporting to the Engineering Manager, will oversee control systems and support manufacturing processes by programming and troubleshooting equipment. This role involves coordinating engineering changes, implementing new tools and processes, and training staff. The Controls Engineer will also manage Electronics & Instrumentation technicians responsible for equipment installation, troubleshooting, and updates.
Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in a related technical field.
Experience:
- 3-5 years in controls engineering within a manufacturing environment.
- At least 6 months in a customer-facing role.
- Strong teamwork skills and ability to work in a multifunctional environment.
- Proactive, resourceful, and motivated with excellent communication skills.
- Experience in troubleshooting control systems.
- Familiarity with industry standards.
- Hands-on engineering approach.
- Safety management experience.
Responsibilities:
- Develop electrical and control system designs based on engineering principles.
- Address equipment downtime issues and coordinate external resources as needed.
- Train and develop E&I technicians and maintenance staff.
- Resolve project-related operational problems to minimize delays and costs.
- Power up electrical systems and configure hardware per specifications.
- Participate in new equipment design reviews and provide input.
- Document engineering changes following established principles.
- Prepare, schedule, coordinate, and monitor process engineering projects.
- Determine process specifications and prepare cost estimates.
- Prepare status reports and support improvement recommendations.
- Collaborate with Project Managers on capital forecasts and budgets.
- Contribute to the site's capital budgeting process.
- Identify and present cost-saving opportunities.
- Provide flexible, 24/7 remote support as needed.
- Complete all required training assignments.
- Adhere to environmental, health, safety, and security regulations.
- Follow RC14001 principles, policies, and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Salary : $100,000 - $130,000
