Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage arc flash studies and other electrical safety initiatives.
- Oversee the installation of lightning mitigation systems.
- Coordinate electrical grounding studies and implement recommended changes.
- Develop and update electrical standards, including material specifications, SOPs, best practices, major design installations, and operator qualifications.
- Review vendor drawings and specifications for electrical equipment.
- Ensure electrical inspections, installations, measurements, and maintenance meet company and industry standards.
- Specify key electrical equipment such as medium and low voltage switchgear, motor control centers, transformers, VFDs, soft starts, UPS systems, DC systems, and protective relay schemes.
- Provide expertise in electrical engineering for new project designs and equipment specifications.
- Ensure facility electrical drawings are accurate and current.
- Interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain high ethical standards and effective communication skills.
- Ensure regular attendance and high performance.
- Be available for non-traditional hours as needed.
- Prioritize personal safety, the safety of company assets, employees, and the public.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Electrical Engineering, or related field
- Valid driver's license
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Office
- Skilled in entering data, using survey forms, and other data collection techniques.
- Basic understanding of designing electrical systems for large industrial sites.
- Capable of reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical blueprints and diagrams, including flow charts, P&IDs, single line diagrams, electrical schematics, MCC/SWGR elevations, and PDC layouts.
- Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical staff.
- Team-oriented, able to follow management directions, adhere to schedules, pay attention to details, and comply with work rules.
- Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects

- Requires use of hands for different tasks.
- General office environment with minimal hazards.
