Vice President– Civil Engineering
We are seeking a Senior Land Development Engineering Professional with over 20 years of experience in Civil Engineering to join our growing firm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team while contributing to the firm's growth.
- Oversee all aspects of land development projects, including planning, design, permitting, and the preparation of technical specifications.
- Prepare septic designs, stormwater calculations, and ensure compliance with water quality standards.
- Manage and deliver technical reports, proposals, and sub-contractor cost estimation.
- Develop and maintain client relationships and represent the firm in presentations to municipal agencies.
- Provide mentorship and leadership to junior staff members.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven track record of successful land development projects in Connecticut.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- A valid Professional Engineer (PE) License in Connecticut.
- At least 20 years of experience in site/civil land development engineering projects.
- Strong knowledge of Connecticut's land use entitlement processes and state/local regulations.
- Familiarity with zoning laws and the ability to present to municipal agencies.
- Strong client development and management skills, with a "seller/doer" mentality.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Expertise in hydrologic/hydraulic design, including SWPPP preparation and water quality compliance.
- Experience in writing technical reports and proposals, and estimating subcontractor costs.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license in good standing.
