Overview:
LYCON Inc. is a family owned and operated ready mix concrete, aggregate and building materials company with over 320 locations serving South Central Wisconsin. We are committed to providing quality products and services to our customers.
LYCON dispatchers are responsible for managing customer orders in a fast-paced environment and working closely with our Drivers, Order Center Representatives, and Plant Managers to ensure smooth, timely, and accurate deliveries throughout the day.
This ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of ready mix operations, and a commitment to meeting customer needs while insuring safety and quality standards are upheld. We currently have an opening in Janesville or Watertown, WI.
Duties:
- Manage order scheduling, routing, and vehicle logistics for optimal efficiency.
- Maintain contact with drivers throughout the delivery process, providing updates on orders and addressing any issues that may arise.
- Collaborate with production teams to align deliveries with plant capacity and inventory levels.
- Maintain and enforce safety protocols, quality standards, and compliance with industry regulations.
Experience:
- Proven experience in a dispatch or logistics role is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with local roads and delivery areas.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on phone etiquette.
- Knowledge of safety and regulatory compliance standards in the concrete industry.
- Proficiency in dispatch software
