Lydech Thermal Acoustical Solutions (TAS) manufactures industrial thermal insulating solutions, and thermal and acoustical barriers for heat abatement and sound dampening applications. Lydall TAS serves a number of markets with the majority of products sold to original equipment manufacturers and tier-one suppliers. The company serves customers via manufacturing operations and sales offices in North America, Europe and Asia. Lydech TAS offers a full line of innovative engineered products to assist in noise and heat abatement within the automotive and industrial markets. The business manufactures acoustical damping and thermal insulating solutions comprised of fiber and metal based composite product constructions. These products are typically found in the interior (dash insulators), underbody (wheel well, fuel tank, exhaust) and under hood (engine compartment) of passenger vehicles, heavy duty trucks, recreational vehicles as well as in other industrial applications. The segment employs approximately ~1400 employees with operations in the U.S., Germany, France and China.

Job Summary:
Assists in maintaining production and quality by ensuring operation of machinery and mechanical equipment are effective.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support the resolution of safety issues on all equipment.
- Perform PM’s as assigned on all equipment platforms.
- Assist with equipment failure repairs (downtime).
- Record all unscheduled down time on equipment in designated system.
- Communicate usage, needs and sourcing of components.
- Assist in the implementation of projects.
- Assist in the installation of equipment as requested.
- Assist in the development of continuous improvement activities as requested.
- Serve as an active participant in LSS programs that promote continuous improvement.
Other:
- Must adhere to all company and location policies and safety rules
- Must be able to work extended hours when required
- All other duties as assigned
Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities Required for Consideration as a Candidate:
(If a degree is required it must be from an accredited institution)
- Currently enrolled or competed a two year technical shop degree or certifications in technical aspects of maintenance (hydraulics, pneumatics, basic electricity, etc.) or equivalent experience.
- Must be able to read and understand English.
- Strong electrical and mechanical maintenance background.
- Comprehensive knowledge of TPM (Total Preventive Maintenance).
- Must demonstrate ability to perform root cause analysis and possess excellent trouble shooting skills in high pressure environment.
- 3-5 years of work experience is required as a minimum
