What are the responsibilities and job description for the Youth Program Assitant position at Lyn Treece Boys & Girls Club of Tippecanoe County?
The Lyn Treece Boys and Girls Club is an after-school program that focuses on academics, character & leadership development, fitness & recreation, the arts and health/life skills.
Under the supervision of the Program Director, the Youth Program Assistant aids in developing activities and leading programs in all Boys & Girls Club core program areas.
Time: M-F, 3:00pm-6:00pm
Essential Functions:
- Must be able to work directly with youth
- Assist in the direction, supervision, and organization of youth activities
- Assures youth are always properly supervised
- Be aware of and implement safety guidelines
- Participate in the development and implementation of program activities
- Responsible for leading and assisting with the teaching of activities
- Actively participate in all program areas as assigned
- Be a role model to youth and staff in your attitude and behavior
Physical Demands:
- Standing/walking for long periods of time while supervising children.
- Reaching, lifting, balancing, etc. while cleaning up program areas.
- Extensive physical movement while supervising or participating in activities with youth.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $12.50 per hour
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
