What are the responsibilities and job description for the Game Day Production/ Press Box Staff position at Lynchburg Hillcats?
The Lynchburg Hillcats are a Minor League Baseball team located in Lynchburg, Virginia. We are an Advanced “A” Affiliate of the Cleveland Indians. The Hillcats are in search of talented and passionate individuals to help support our In-Game Video, Audio, and On-Field Production and all aspects of our In-Game Presentation efforts. The Game Day Production/Press Box Staffing position is an integral part of our gameday experience.
We are looking for individuals whom want to make a difference in fan experience at the ballpark. These individuals should be passionate about their work, willing to learn, and work well under pressure and with a team.
We have several positions open including:
Audio Controller: the job of the audio controller is to play in-between inning music, sound effects throughout the game, and play walk-up songs for hitters. Should be able to use, or willing to learn how to use, a basic computer audio program and be able to take direction well.
MiLB Gameday Application Operator: the job of the gameday app operator is to record the game in live time on Minor League Baseball's online application. The app is used by fans to follow along throughout the game. Must be able to know the rules of baseball and follow umpire calls and signals throughout the entire game. Must have basic understanding of how to use a laptop computer.
Pitch Clock Operator: the job of the pitch clock operator is to set and reset the pitch clock before and after each pitch. Must be a highly attentive individual that focuses on what is happening on the field.

Video Board Operator: the job of the video board operator is to put up slides, clips, headshots, commercials, etc onto our video board during games. Must be able to follow a production schedule and have experience with Tri-Caster. Any graphic design skills are a plus.
Official Scorekeeper: Must be able to know the rules of baseball and follow umpire calls and signals throughout the entire game.

Camera Operator: the job of the camera operator is to record on-field action, including in-between inning promotions, pre-game events, and post-game interviews. Must be able to know how to operate production video cameras.
Scoreboard Operator: the job of the scoreboard operator is to keep score and record it on our Daktronics stadium scoreboard. Must be able to know the rules of baseball and follow umpire calls and signals throughout the entire game.
- These positions include many weekend, night, and holiday hours.
