What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operations Manager position at Lynco Products?
We are looking to add an Operations Manager to our team!
This individual will work closely with our Directors of Operations across multiple departments including Returns, Production, Shipping, and Receiving. This role will support department supervisors, ensuring seamless operations and driving continuous improvement across all areas. Hours: Primarily 1st shift hours with flexibility to train and work on various shifts as needed
Pay: $55,000-$65,000 annual base salary bonus
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Directors of Operations to align department goals and ensure efficiency across all operational areas.
- Partner with supervisors in Shipping, Receiving, Returns, and Production to meet and exceed volume and productivity goals while maintaining quality standards.
- Assist with executing strategic plans and operational adjustments to improve department performance.
- Develop a thorough understanding of all departmental functions by actively participating in tasks such as receiving inventory, picking/packing orders, processing returns, and managing production orders to provide hands on support as needed.
- Coordinate cross-departmental activities, including overseeing various projects.
- Ensure all team members are thoroughly trained in job functions, equipment operation, safety protocols, and relevant systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to work processes, shipped orders, and interdepartmental coordination.
- Communicate employee absences, concerns, or disciplinary issues to Human Resources and assist in resolving them.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain or suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.
- 3 years of Distribution Center management experience in a multi shift distribution environment is desired.
- 3 years of experience managing a staff of 30 employees is desired.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
- Strong knowledge of logistics procedures and operations.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to crouch, carry, push, and lift up to 70lbs of product.
- Extensive knowledge of imputing and retrieving data from a computerized system.
- Ability to stand and walk for 8-10 hours a day.
