Lynden Christian High School is seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to oversee and manage the high school library. The successful candidate will ensure the library is aligned with the school's mission, goals, and objectives, serving as an essential part of the school's instructional program. Responsibilities include instructing students and staff in the effective use of information and technology literacy skills, as well as the use of library equipment.
Key duties will involve evaluating, selecting, and procuring print and digital resources, along with related equipment, to meet the needs of the school community. The role also requires developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure the efficient operation of the library, its services, and facilities in support of a 21st-century learning environment.
Additionally, the library media specialist will work closely with the curriculum to recommend and procure resources that assist staff in achieving their instructional objectives across all subject areas.
