Lynden Logistics is seeking a Human Resources Intern to work as part of our SeaTac based team. Join Lynden Logistics for a challenging adventure.
This is a paid internship; you will generally work 40 hours per week for a period of 10-12 weeks during the summer. This position is non safety sensitive.
Our internship program offers you opportunities to network and learn through :
- Participating in tours at the different Lynden Operating Companies.
- Informational lunches with Lynden executives including Operations, Marketing, HR, Legal, Finance and Company Presidents.
- Assisting with organizing the Lynden summer barbeque and other employee events.
- Intern team building activities.
- Group and team-related projects include presenting to our group of executives. We encourage you to apply and bring your expertise to :
- Participate and contribute to the day-to-day workflow of the HR team.
- Lead special HR projects to further the goals of the organization; participate in planning, project development, and problem-solving.
- Support recruiting efforts which may include scheduling interviews, tracking and monitoring applicant status in the recruiting system, and more
- Engages with internal departments to carry out day to day HR related responsibilities.
- Work with the various sub-departments of HR.
- Continuously improve our existing processes What we need from you :
- Currently enrolled in undergraduate or certificate program in business, sociology, Human Resources, or communications,
- Must have strong Excel skills and be familiar with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Teams. What you need to know :
- We work in a casual office setting with an on-site gym.
- Easy access to Link Light Rail or free onsite parking.
