What are the responsibilities and job description for the 2025 Harvest Team one potential F/T Position position at Lynmar Estate?
Lynmar is a family-owned small lot, ultra-premium Pinot Noir and Chardonnay producer situated on approximately 45 acres of estate vineyards in the heart of the Russian River Valley.
We work with mainly estate fruit, with some exceptional outside vineyards also part of our program. Our daily activities include processing lots of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and a small amount of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Sauvignon Blanc and Valdiguie.
Candidates participate in all facets of harvest and work closely with our small winemaking team. As a (mostly) outdoor winery, you must have the ability to work in various weather conditions and enjoy stunning views of the Russian River Valley.
Job Opportunities
- Harvest Cellar Lead – Position starts in mid-June and continues through end of October (2-3 harvests of experience ideal). Forklift experience is preferred.
- Hybrid Cellar/Lab Role – A dynamic role that involves both cellar and lab responsibilities, perfect for someone looking for variety in their daily tasks. August 1 until end of October.
- Harvest Cellar Positions - Role involves all duties to carry out a safe, effective, and fun vintage. August 1 to end of October.
There is potential for one of these candidates to remain employed full-time after harvest.
Duties
- Proper sanitation procedures
- Lots & lots of cleaning
- Tank & crush pad preparation
- Grape receiving & processing
- Juice & wine additions
- Fermentation maintenance
- Barrel preparation & filling
- Press & equipment operation
- Forklift experience is preferred but not necessary
Additional Responsibilities for Hybrid Lab/Cellar Position
- Juice and/or wine analysis
- Monitoring tank and barrel fermentations
- Collecting vineyard & tank samples for analysis
- Grape sample processing
- Proper handling, maintenance and cleaning of lab equipment
- Plus all the above cellar work
Must have good communication skills and above all, candidates must have a positive attitude. We work long hours and up to 6 days of the week during the peak of harvest. We provide snacks and several lunches throughout the week. Hopefully you enjoy our music taste, we will occasionally pass the aux.
We currently are only accepting U.S. citizens or those legal to work in the U.S.A. Applicants must have reliable transportation to work.
