Located on the picturesque south shore of Big St. Germain Lake, Lynn Ann’s Campground has been a cherished destination in the Wisconsin Northwoods since the late 1950s. Our family-owned, lakeside retreat offers 130 campsites, a marina, general store, and more. We’re known for our friendly team, peaceful park, well-maintained facilities, and the timeless memories we help our guests create.
Summary
The Assistant Campground Manager plays a critical role in supporting the daily operations of the camping resort. This position assists the Campground Managers in ensuring a positive guest experience by maintaining high standards of hospitality, safety, and cleanliness. The ideal candidate is a friendly, organized, and customer-focused individual with strong leadership skills. This role has the potential to transition into a year round management position. Our camping season runs from late April through early October. Position start and end dates may be flexible. A commitment from mid May through Labor Day weekend is preferred.
Responsibilities
The Assistant Manager wears many hats and will navigate the following areas of responsibility:
- Guest Services – Welcome and foster relationships with guests. Learn and use reservation software to manage reservations, rentals, and process arrivals/departures. Professionally respond to inquiries, concerns and complaints in a timely manner.
- General Store – Assist guests with their needs, process transactions, maintain a tidy space, and assist with inventory and merchandising.
- Marketing and Events — Assist with development and execution of marketing initiatives. Develop, promote and facilitate special events throughout the season.
- Marina Operations – Assist guests with boat rentals, help maintain marine and rental equipment, and manage dockside services.
- Facilities and Grounds – Ensure the cleanliness, safety and functionality of common areas including bathhouse, laundry room, camper rentals, recreational area, marina and waterfront.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in customer service, hospitality or management is a plus
- Friendly, approachable and comfortable in a guest-facing role
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable with technology and able to quickly adapt to new tools and systems
- Team player who is willing to contribute wherever needed
- Capable of working both indoors and outdoors
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
