Roles & Responsibilities
- Partner with client leaders and colleagues to support and execute both long-term and short-term HR strategies that directly enable the APS business’s’ objectives.
- Provide timely, effective, and direct coaching to leaders, assisting in the development of strong, transformational leadership skills.
- Develop and maintain positive and productive environment and ensure the consistent application of company guidance and behaviors.
- Provide strategic coaching to key talent in client group as it pertains to succession planning, career path development, and performance management.
- Embrace and actively engage the new operating model, looking for more efficient ways to operate.
- Drive efficiency and consistency across all functions within the site to improve the culture and employee engagement.
- Lead and coach site leadership on HR processes including: Employee advocacy/engagement, Employee relations management, Performance management, Career development, Talent assessment, acquisition, and retention, and Workplace investigations as appropriate
- Partner with HR Business Partners and HR Operations teams (Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, etc.) professionals to execute business and site-specific HR strategies.
- Ensure that all employee relations issues are properly identified, reported, investigated and resolved in a timely manner.
- Conduct investigations including gathering, preserving, documenting, and analyzing all available information and evidence, and in some circumstances, making recommendations to the business on disciplinary action.
- Provide advice and counsel to managers and employees to ensure consistent application and integration of policies procedures and practices at 100% compliance to promote an ethical and compliant work environment.
- Lead key HR processes including compensation planning and compliance.
- Act as a passionate employee advocate who wants to make a difference in the organization by helping employees succeed.
- Conduct HR training and support for functional processes like Performance Development, People Review, Salary Planning, New Employee Orientation, etc.
- Drive People Leader excellence through training, intentional development planning, seeking and providing feedback and coaching to site leaders, roundtables, and team/leader as needed.
- Maintain and protect confidential data with utmost scrutiny, judgment, and care.
- Lead other site-wide and business-wide HR projects as necessary, working across multiple client groups.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college a combination of a High School Diploma and 7 years of progressive experience in HR roles.
- Minimum of 5 years professional work in the Human Resources function with client-facing responsibilities including employee/people leader development and performance management (or will consider a Master’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience)
- Travel is required up to 35% of the time to provide HR support to designated area in multiple locations that requires on site presence.
- HR generalist experience in manufacturing environment
- Employee Relations experience is highly preferred.
- Approachable and responsive resource able to connect and build trust with employees at all levels.
- Ability to analyze and resolve problems, lead, and execute projects with independence.
- Strong customer service focus, with a high level of responsiveness
- Ability to lead by example reflecting strong emotional intelligence in all situations aligned to the LYB Competencies.
