Daycare Director

Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Daycare professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children in our care. This role requires a strong commitment to the well-being of each child and the ability to engage with them in meaningful ways. The Daycare professional will work closely with children of various ages, including infants and toddlers, and may also support children with special needs.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe and welcoming environment for all children.
• Supervise daily activities and ensure the safety of children at all times.
• Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote learning and development.
• Provide care for infants and toddlers, including feeding, diapering, and comforting as needed.
• Manage behavior effectively using positive reinforcement techniques.
• Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress and any concerns.
• Collaborate with special education professionals to support children with disabilities.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the daycare space.
• Document children's progress and any incidents that occur during care.

Skills

• First aid certification is preferred to ensure child safety.
• Experience in toddler care and infant care is essential.
• Knowledge of daycare operations and best practices in early childhood education.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in special education settings is a plus.
• Strong behavior management skills to effectively guide children's actions.
• Ability to educate children through play-based learning experiences.
• Previous experience working with children in various capacities is highly valued.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with parents, staff, and children.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
